City Council & Town Hall Meeting Schedule

City Council Meetings

The Inver Grove Heights City Council holds their regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted. A work session is held on the first Monday of the month at 6 p.m.

Meetings are open to all. See schedule below.

Notice of Special City Council Meeting - Tuesday, January 19 at 4 p.m. at City Hall. Please note that the meeting will start in the Police Department Northwest Conference Room at 4 p.m. and will then move to Council Chambers. You can enter City Hall at the Police Dept. entrance on the west side of the building to access the Northwest Conference Room. There will be no public comment during this meeting, However, if you would like to submit a comment in advance to be read at the meeting, please email Rebecca Kiernan, City Clerk, at rkiernan@ighmn.gov up until 4 p.m. This special meeting can also be watched live on XFinity Channel 19.

If you are interested in participating in a meeting, you can find information on how to join the meeting at the top of each meeting agenda found on the Agenda Center page. 

Meetings are broadcast live on Town Square Television Channel 19 to cable subscribers and Streamed live.

Agendas, Packets & Minutes

Agendas are typically posted on the website on the Friday before the Monday meeting. Minutes of the meetings are recorded and are available following council approval. 

Members of the public who wish to speak to an agenda item may do so, upon the recognition of the mayor. There is a public comment period for items not on the agenda at the beginning of most meetings, or you may send an online question or comment.
